Policies
Dress Code
Hair must be neatly put back away from face. NO- gum, jewelry or cell phones allowed. NO denim or baggy cover-ups worn during class. Dancers must use the restrooms before class begins.
Ballet
Black leotards, pink tights, pink ballet shoes. Knot and trim all draw strings (no bows). No underpants under tights for girls/women. Boys- black dance pants, white t-shirt, black ballet shoes.
Jazz & Turns
Tight fitting dance or aerobic wear, black split sole jazz shoes, no socks, no jazz boots. Tap Same as jazz, black tap shoes.
Hip Hop/Pom & Cheer
Same as jazz, CLEAN tennis shoes.
Combo Classes & Creative Movement
Leotards, pink tights, pink ballet shoes skirt must be attached to leotard. Children’s tap shoes must be secured with elastic fasteners. No toys, dress-up clothes, wands or tiaras.
Food Policy
No food, pop or gum will be allowed in the studio. Water bottles are allowed during class.
Bad Weather Policy
The studio will be closed on inclement weather days, as declared by Douglas County. Please call the studio for a recorded message about studio closure.
Arrival & Dismissal
Please pick up dancer(s) promptly. DDA is not responsible for dancer(s) before or after their class. Children will be unsupervised once the next class begins. Please be on time, classes start promptly. Non-dancing children must never be left unattended. Appropriate behavior from all children in the building is expected at all times.
Class Observation Policy
Classes may be observed through the observation windows. However, we suggest you limit your viewing time as this is most conductive to a constructive learning environment. At no time is any individual allowed to sit inside the studio and observe while class is in session unless given special permission by the instructor.
Schedule Changes
Written notice must be put in tuition box, or all fees still apply.
